LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 340-334 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.48 g, 9 h). Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with a griffin; behind neck guard, Θ. Rev. ΥEΛHTΩN Lion walking to right; below, Θ. HN Italy 1284. Williams 258 (O150/R205). A very well centered example. Minor roughness, otherwise, very fine.
